Update: New Jersey Obama Ballot Challenge Not Decided; Ruling To Be Issued in Next 24 Hours

http://obamareleaseyourrecords.blogspot.com/2012/04/new-jersey-obama-ballot-challenge-not.html

snip

Obama’s attorney made a motion to dismiss the Objection in its entirety. She argued that it was not relevant to being placed on the ballot whether Mr. Obama is a “natural born Citizen,” where he was born, and whether he was born to U.S. citizen parents. She said that no law in New Jersey obligated him to produce any such evidence in order to get on the primary ballot. We argued that Mr. Obama under the Constitution has to be a “natural born Citizen.” We argued that under New Jersey law (the state constitution, statutes, and case law), Mr. Obama must show that he is qualified for the office he wishes to occupy and that includes showing that he is a “natural born Citizen,” which includes presenting evidence of who he is, where he was born, and that he was born to two U.S. citizen parents. We argued that the Secretary of State has a constitutional obligation not to place any ineligible candidates on the election ballot. Judge Masin denied Obama’s motion to dismiss and the case proceeded to trial.

His lawyers argue that his eligibility doesn’t matter to get on the ballot…. Why don’t they just show that he is eligible and get it over with, or is it because they know that he is not eligible???

  1. Did any of the Republican candidates for president show a court in New Jersey that they are eligible? Answer: No.

Did John McCain show a court in New Jersey that he was eligible? Answer: No.

Did George Bush show a court in New Jersey that he was eligible? Answer: No.

Did any president before George Bush show a court in New Jersey that he was eligible? Answer: No.

    • Was there any question about the eligibility of those mentioned, except McCain. NO

McCain was not eligible either. He was not born in this country.
To be eligigle, you must have two American citizen parents and be born in this country.

All politicians should be required to provide proof that they are eligible for the position
      for which they are running.

There is a BIG question about Mr. obama’s qualifications, so yes he should be required to
provide proof that he is eligible.

  2. Re: “To be eligigle, you must have two American citizen parents and be born in this country.”

Who told you that? It is wrong.

“Under the longstanding English common-law principle of jus soli, persons born within the territory of the sovereign (other than children of enemy aliens or foreign diplomats) are citizens from birth. Thus, those persons born within the United States are “natural born citizens” and eligible to be President….”—- Edwin Meese, et al, THE HERITAGE GUIDE TO THE CONSTITUTION (2005) [Edwin Meese was Ronald Reagan’s attorney general, and the Heritage Foundation is a well-known Conservative organization.]

Re: “All politicians should be required to provide proof that they are eligible for the position for which they are running.”

Sure. But there is no law that says that they have to, and so far the Republican candidates, George Bush, his father, Ronald Reagan, and other presidents and presidential candidates did not do so.

Re: “There is a BIG question about Mr. obama’s qualifications…”

So vote against him. But he was born in Hawaii and is a Natural Born US Citizen.

    • Any genuine construction of the “natural born Citizen” clause must begin from the starting point that it requires something more than citizenship by virtue of being born on U.S. soil. Minor v. Happersett, 88 U.S. 162 (1874), tells you exactly what that something is; citizen parents.

I refuse to argue with obots. So, this is the last comment that I will approve from you.

I know the truth and refuse to abide by obama’s dictates.
